Biennial Symposia
History and the 2027 programme
About the Symposia
The Institute’s biennial symposium on projective methodology was first convened in 1969 and has been held at approximately two-year intervals since that date, with interruptions noted in the Institute’s records. The symposium brings together researchers, practitioners, and institutional partners to present recent findings, discuss methodological developments, and consider the future direction of projective assessment research.
The symposium is not a public conference. Registration is by invitation only. The Institute does not accept unsolicited registration requests, nor does it issue calls for papers through public channels. Attendance is limited to members of the Institute, invited guests of the membership, and representatives of institutional partners.
Selected symposium proceedings are held in the Institute’s archive. Access to proceedings is governed by the Institute’s archival access policy. Not all proceedings are available for viewing.
2027 Symposium
The Institute’s next biennial symposium on projective methodology will convene in late 2027 in Zürich. The programme is currently under development by the Committee on Succession in consultation with the Director of Research Integrity.
Programme details, including the symposium theme, date, and invited speakers, will be communicated to the Institute’s membership in due course. Registration is by invitation only. The Institute does not accept unsolicited registration requests or proposals for presentations.
Institutions interested in partnership or representation at the 2027 symposium should direct written correspondence to the Institute’s registered address. Representatives of the Institute’s digitisation partner, J. B. Fowler (Precision Stimuli), and of the Perceptual Analytics Group have attended past symposia. Attendance at the 2027 symposium is by invitation only. Contact information →
