Correspondence, access, and institutional inquiries
The Institute does not accept unsolicited telephone calls or visitors. The Institute is a small organisation with limited administrative capacity, governed by the Committee on Succession and managed by a staff of four. We appreciate the understanding of those who seek to contact us.
Correspondence
General correspondence, including inquiries relating to research affiliation, archival access, media inquiries, and institutional governance, may be directed to the Institute’s registered address in Zürich, Switzerland. The Institute’s registered address is a matter of public record with the Swiss commercial registry.
Correspondence should include a clear statement of purpose, institutional affiliation where applicable, and any reference numbers relevant to the inquiry (e.g. accession numbers for archival requests, programme reference codes for research inquiries). Correspondence that does not include this information may not receive a response.
Archival Access
Researchers seeking access to materials in the Institute’s archival collections should direct a written request to the registered address. Access requests should specify the materials sought (including accession numbers where known), the research purpose for which access is required, the researcher’s institutional affiliation, and evidence of ethics board approval where the materials requested are classified as restricted.
All access requests are reviewed by the Committee on Succession. Not all requests are approved. The review process may take several months. Researchers should not assume that access will be granted and should make alternative arrangements where timelines are constrained. Further information on the archive and access procedures →
Research Affiliation
Researchers interested in formal affiliation with the Institute should direct a written proposal to the registered address. Proposals should describe the proposed research programme, its relationship to the Institute’s existing research areas, the resources required, and the expected duration of the affiliation. Proposals are reviewed by the Director of Research Integrity and the Committee on Succession. The Institute does not fund external research.
Media Inquiries
Media inquiries should be directed in writing to the registered address. The Institute does not issue press releases, maintain a media contact list, or provide comment on commercial assessment products or their regulatory status. Response to media inquiries is at the discretion of the Committee on Succession.
Response time may vary. The Institute is unable to respond to all correspondence. We do not maintain electronic communication channels for public correspondence.
